Openings in the feeder base typically align with open seed ports allowing birds to access the feed, but when red and grey squirrels or large birds try to feed, the feeder base quickly drops to close access to the seed ports. Squirrels and large birds are prevented from feeding without being harmed in any way.
The feeder has six feeding stations, adjustable perches, and an optional cardinal ring. The use of the cardinal ring allows birds to have a secure grip while they feed. The feeder will hold up to three quarts of seed and comes with a lifetime guarantee.
All squirrel Buster products are made of rugged UV-filtered ABs and Polycarbonate resins and powder-coated aluminum components. Hangers, springs and fasteners are stainless steel.
